Letting go...
Surrendering is not easy...
When you are in the energy of surrendering it is often hard, challenging, and painful.
We are hesitant to forgive others and ourselves, thinking it means forgetting what they [or yourself] have done or what these periods of time have taught you.
When I had a desire to release relationships that no longer served me, I felt a huge resistance at first.
❤️ Feelings of guilt.
❤️ Feelings of shame.
❤️ Feelings of abandonment.
I realised that my anger and resentment were fundamental blockers to the internal shift I so desired, & was robbing me of abundance and joy in my life.
After recognising how much I was stopping myself from being in the present because of someone or something in the past, I chose to treat those people or situations with love and forgiveness. Not because I agreed with their actions & how they made me feel, but because this would align with my highest self.
It would help me remain open to miracles sent by the Universe.
I immediately felt a huge shift in my physical and emotional state once I tapped into the energy of forgiveness and love.
I felt lighter and more at peace.
So, if you are struggling to surrender, struggling to release what no longer serves you...consider approaching the subject in a new way.
You can say...
I am sorry. I forgive you. Thank you. I love you. I release you.
You can do a reflection exercise by journaling...
What lesson has this situation taught me? Then let it go. Actively release it.
One of the best ways to clear old energies is to write it down and then burn it. This simple act is representing those thoughts and feelings that no longer live within you.
I do this a lot, especially around the Full Moon. I find the active process of burning allows me to really tune in and fully embody a sense of lightness within me.
Remember when you surrender it allows you to receive more and more. Receive things that are aligned, people who are aligned, whilst receiving more abundance & opportunities.
It is not easy to do, but worth it. It is time to create space in your life to receive more and surrender to what no longer serves you.
